According to this article, your TSH reading might differ depending upon when you get tested.  Check it out.

This makes a lot of sense to me. The only time my TSH was checked in the afternoon, I actually questioned the results because I didn't believe it could possibly be so low!

I agree.  If the doctors are aware of this study, they should encourage patients to get tested in the morning just as they have you fast for some tests.

I am going into the endocrinologist on 9/17 for my new patient visit for thyroid issues. My appt. is in the morning, and I assume they are going to do a full panel as my doctor didn't. They did not say anything about fasting, should I call and ask them, or just go ahead and fast?
