Hi everyone. How do you live with chronic pain? Granted, I am overweight so no one takes me seriously but I am always in pain. My back, hips, knees, ankles. Doctors keep telling me to lose weight and sending me home. I get it. I know I need to lose, but I am always hurting so badly that I don't want to move. Can anyone relate? What do you do to cope?

I thought the same thing Molly...

I don't like it when they automatically assume it's our weight!

If you are in pain, it means not wanting to move because it is so painful!

I am in pain today partly because I may have over-done it...or our weather, it's very cold.

Probably in a flare.

Usually ONLY thing that helps is heat, like a hot bath...

Have you been tested for some form of arthritis?  Since so many of your joints are painful, I'm thinking maybe rheumatoid arthritis?  Maybe you could ask you doctor about being tested for RA or getting a referral to a rheumatologist.  Best of luck.
