I was a member of this board several years ago.  I have a girl and a boy now thanks to metforuim.

I was just diagnosed with adenomyosis and was curious if anyone else has the same diagnose and if they can share their experiences with me.  My family doctor is sending me to a gyno but he says the best option is a hysterectomy.  I don't really have a problem with that since I do have my kids and the side effects from the adenomyosis is driving me crazy!!

Hey there!  Welcome back!  IMHO, a hyster is not the best option unless others fail.  Anti imflammitories, progesterone IUD, and even a endometrial ablation are possibilities.  There are other options.  :)  Also, once menopause happens, this usually goes away.  Let me know what the OB says!  Take care, Laura
