According to Health Day News, in a new study, the use of certain asthma drugs in children may shorten their adult height by half an inch. "The children were followed until they reached their full adult height -- age 18 or older for females and age 20 or older for males. The average height of patients who took budesonide was one-half inch shorter than those who took nedocromil or placebo. The slower growth occurred during the first two years of the study. As the study continued, the children who took budesonide remained one-half inch shorter than the other children until they reached their adult height." read more

Not sure if this is a concern or not. Just happy I didn't start taking allergy mes until I was in my 50s adn had reached my full height!
