Weird Allergies

I have found that I am allergic to ONIONS. Yes I know I have not seen anywhere online about onions being an allergy. I have also figured out that just about every food has some form of onion here in the south. This started first part of last year. I wrote everything down I ate for that week and narrowed it down to onions.   This used to be able to treat with 1 benadryl, and it just keeps getting worse. I get blisters in my mouth and down my throat, tongue swells, and throat swells, I am to the point I take a benadryl before I eat at any restraunt for precaution. I just recently noticed I get what looks like thrush when I eat dairey products along with serious stomach cramps. I am 32 and these allergies are stacking up, why could this be happening and what else can I do. I am taking 4-6 benadryl when I start feeling a reaction coming on. The picture below are a minor reaction. When this happens I can't eat for days. It causes anything with carbonation, spices, or warm to burn like I have eaten whole spoon full of wasabi.

other allergies- cinnamon and vanilla

Wow, that must be very irritating. Have you talked to an allergist about this?

I had multiple allergy test done when I was in my 20's but it always showed the norms like ragweed, dust mites, pollen and grass.*since I live in AL that means I suffer alot during spring and summer )  It never showed foods. I am trying to find an allergist/immunologist that can see me before March. I have been given some melts for the thrush type reaction that only makes things worse. My family doctor has tried me on zyrtec for the ragweed, grass, and pollen allergy but hasn't given me anything yet for this allergy. I forgot to add I am allergic to Sulfa drugs that started about 2 years ago.

You may want to work through an elimination diet and a detox to help narrow down things even further. Talking to a nutritionalist may help also, you may need to stick with eating strictly homemade, non-processed foods for a while to fully flush everything out of your system. Also, it very well also be that you have thrush, it is a very easily reoccuring problem unfortunately, have you completely cut out processed sugars and yeast products?

Yes I agree! A strict diet must be needed to eliminate the effects. First you must find what is really caused on your allergies. Hope the best. Get well.
