15 Medical Groups say HRT safe..will you try it?

According to Health Day News, "A coalition of leading medical groups has concluded that hormone-replacement therapy can be useful and safe for many women suffering from the symptoms of menopause." MORE
What do you think-is it something you would be willing to try in the light of all the new information concerning it? Have you and your doctor discussed the pros and cons of HRT to ease your symptoms?
I would have gladly tried it have I been giving a choice.. My symptoms did not lead my gyn, to think I need it... My gyn is male.
Well, Karla, since my need for HRT followed a total hysterectomy I *did* use it for many years. Of course I was using estrogen only - no progesterone involved. My life would have been miserable and the lives of everyone around me might have been in jeopardy had I not been using it!! I had been using Premarine for 25 years when I finally got my body weaned off of it just a few years back.
Would I choose to use it had the "press" been then what it is today? Probably.
