Best thing for a stomach virus?

There has been a terrible puky diarhrea stomach bug going round the family for a couple of weeks now. My sister said a nurse at her work said warm flat sprite is the best thing to take for something like that but i read somewhere warm coke was the best. My mother says ice chips and gaterade. Which is it?

The best thing is warm sprite and water (a half of warm water and a half of warm sprite) and don't eat anything for a little while. and get plenty of rest.
