Ginger can actually be soothing to an upset tummy. But carbonated beverages are acidic, so I am not sure how that would affect gastritis. I guess asking your doctor is the best thing to do.
I'm waiting for my next GI appt. to ask my new GI about the soda thing.
It really is frustrating when the foods you love cause you problems! My GERD seems to be getting worse and I have to be careful what I eat, especially in the evenings.
