Gluten free?

I hate to start on a new board when all this new stuff is a problem but I thought you guys could help me ....
So, I don't actually have digestive problems. I do however have chronic headaches that are really bad - daily. I have been to several specialists and tried several modalities over the years but nothing has worked. I was thinking of trying to go gluten free ad see if it helps...
I thought this may be a place that could help me.
How does one start going gluten free? Any advice?
Thanks.

I've been gluten-free since March 8 of this year, for autoimmune thyroiditis. Not sure if it's helping yet, since I haven't repeated my bloodwork, but I feel better! You need to eliminate gluten completely for SIX weeks before all traces are gone from your body, I was told. You cannot have even a little bit of gluten-containing food, so being a 'little bit gluten free' won't help at all. Google 'wheat and gluten' on GreenMedInfo's site to learn a lot about gluten and how it affects nearly everyone. Be careful of replacing your crackers and cereals and breads with anything with rice flour; rice contains arsenic, which is extremely toxic. There are no known safe levels of arsenic in food, so it's best to avoid it completely. Good luck! It's difficult to find healthy gluten-free foods, but it can be done. Hope your headaches go away!
Thanks for the info!
Have they checked for Hortons / Cluster headache?
Have you been to a bite and yaw specilist? My husband suffered from daily migraines, several experts and then he got sent to a specialist dentist and after one visit he found out why and has no more headaches.
Going gluten free is easy, avoid everything that contains rye, wheat, barely, oatmeal ( yes low in gluten but not gluten free) so pasta and bread is of the menu unless you find a glutenfree version.
However getting headache from gluten intolerance is rare it more common to get it from food colourings, preservatives and chemical food flavouring.
If I was you, I would try to cook from scratch and eat fresh food more and avoid anything tinned, prepacked and ready made. That is was I do and even if I do have IBS I have very good life and no headaches anymore.
