Does anyone know of an antiacid that has not been recalled that works as well as Rolaids??

Tums does nothing for me at all.

I keep watching for Rolaids to return, but nothing so far on the shelves. ::sigh::

Rolaids was recalled? How did I miss that?

Is your problem indigestion? Reflux? Have you discussed it with your doctor at all? There are lots of over-the-counter meds available now. Maybe you could ask your pharmacist which would be closest to your Rolaids.

Rolaids, along with Pepcid and Mylanta, were recalled in 2010 and again in early 2011 and are still off the shelves!! :(

I don't have Reflux. I only get heartburn occasionally, usually when I over eat, which I seldom do. When I need an antacid, though, I always reach for my Rolaids as they work so well for me.

Hi Donna-wow. I never knew that Rolaids, Pepcid and Mylanta had been recalled. I use the Walmart store brand version of Mylanta and it works great for me. It might be worth a try for you. :)

I don't know why it's taking them so long to get these popular and needed products back on the shelves either!!

Thanks for the tip, I'll get some Walmart brand of Mylanta!

Really! I had no idea they'd pulled it, it's been around forever. How about Gaviscon? It's a different variety that creates a physical barrier to help prevent reflux from happening, and I find it really helps with most stomach woes. Can cause constipation, though, if you use it all the time.

Yes, they've been called in 2010 and 2011 and still are not available. I just looked for an update and it explains why it's taking so long to get them back on the shelves......

Thank you for the Gaviscon tip, but that's not what I need. I don't get regular reflux, I just get heartburn occasionally from certain foods or overeating.

As a former rolaid addict from 1983 to like 1999 (finally went to the dr's and was put on prilosec and pepsid for a year till my esophagus healed) I suffered for years with reflux until id dropped my weight to skeleton proportions from not being able to eat anything. Anyway today i still get occasional heartburn and i find that original cvs brand are pretty close to original rolaids. For me its all about the taste/flavor that helps soothe my stomach.
