How does IBS affect your life? What do you do to cope/treat your condition?

I suffer from UC and IBS, and definitely know that food is a huge trigger for me. I was lucky enough to find a dietician who specializes in IBS and IBD, and she put me on a low-FODMAP (see info here and I have found when I follow it it makes a huge differencfe to me. Of course I go through periods when I don't follow it, go off my meds and things get, for lack of a better term, pretty sh!tty. LOL

I also find that eating at regular times and keeping up my water intake makes a huge difference.
