I was reading an article on Fox News that discusses 5 tips to help prevent indigestion and it got me to wondering, what are your tips?
It may sound odd, but I find that chewing gum seems to help keep reflux at bay.
I like Extra spearmint flavor, but I think that is more of a taste preference than what works best. Although I have heard that peppermint may not be good for people with reflux.
The article mentioned not taking too many antacids. But, I have found that taking them really helps me and my Dr told me to take as many as I need. Of course I was diagnosed with Barretts (pre cancerous esphagus). Ginger ale also helps me. Especially if I've eaten too much. Which I try
