Do you feed off others' stress?

I've noticed that I feed off of my husband's stress lately. He will get freaked out or upset about something, then it starts to drive me nuts and I start acting stressed, then the kids pick up on it and start misbehaving too. It's insane. Does this happen to anyone else? How do you stop yourself from letting others affect you?

Totally happens to me, although I have learned to just ignore my husbands little pissy fits that he gets. It helps to call my MIL to laugh about his latest temper tantrum, since they are usually over something really insane (light hanging Christmas lights, now that was funny!). Sometimes I'll just take the kids to the park or something to just get outside and have fun together. It helps my mood and so I can ignore his.

Ohigosh, do I ever let myself be affected by others stress levels. Especially at work.

I find that if I can take a break at lunch and get a workout in, or just get away from the office it helps!

This happens to me too and I think, possibly ,perhaps it's more of a mom/ woman issue . I've noticed that with men, they seem to be able to compartmentilize things a lot easier than us women can. I'm so jealous lol.
