Do you keep an emergency bag packed just in case? With the wild start to March already, this information might come in handy for someone: What to Pack in Your Emergency Go Bag

I never have but this is a good idea! We have first aid kits in the house in two locations but we don't have a go bag and the other items listed are scattered through the house. I know where they all are but, as said, there might not be enough time to get to them.

Here we seem to be in the path of ever more tornadoes ... I don't remember ever thinging of Ohio as part of Tornado Alley before!

Carol, my area (Southern Indiana) was hit very hard by those tornadoes Friday afternoon. (I'm not sure if it would have helped those who barely escaped to have had bags packed but it certainly is a good idea to try out!) Many homes in my county were destroyed and 4 people died. My own small town was spared and my home undamaged but it sure was a scary event. I hunkered down in my bathroom with my daughter, niece, nephew, four cats and a neighbor praying that we came out alive after seeing the debris from other people's homes falling out of the sky.

We had gotten quite a bit of early warning so I did have time to get a small bag packed. I had thrown a sport bag over my shoulder with my daughter's medications, important family documents, check book and credit cards, insurance information, and my cell phone and charger. Thank God I didn't need it!

I know what you mean about whether a bag would be of use in that situation but meds and ID and money, at least.

I saw the films of Henryville and it was scary! And now snow? What has Mother Nature got against us?

lol I'm thinking it is someone far bigger than Mother Nature trying to tell us something. Yesterday I woke up to 4 inches of snow and today it's nearly 60 again. They are saying possibility of storms again by Thursday.

I think I'm actually looking forward to some mundane 100 degree days again.
