Depression IS a result of cardiac arrest. It can also be a result of fear...and he has a lot to be afraid of! Please dont' be afraid to talk to his DR.

I am a recovering alcoholic and so is my husband. We laugh, cry, love, and do all the things that people who don't have a problem with alcohol do...we just dont' drink.

Wow! What a terribly scary event. It may be that your husband is doing some soul searching. He has definitely been through a life changing event. They say depression is a serious side affect of cardiac arrest so get some information on it and give him some time to heal.
