Awww, Beth. Your poor MIL, she's sure going through a lot, as are the rest of you.

I hope your FIL realizes soon that he really doesn't know everything. :(

I told him at the hospital today that he has to do everything the DRs say. He whined that he was. Then the nurse came in with two mouth rinses and a medication. He refused all.

Beth, my heart goes out to you. Tell him that when he goes unconcious, the feeding tube will go in then. So if he wants to wait, everyone will wait with him. As soon as he passes out, boom....feeding tube. Tell him its a shame that it has to come to this, knowing that if he just did a few things, he wouldnt have to go thru that or force his loved ones to see him go thru it...but...if he insists.....

I understand refusing food. I did it when I had my transplant. I had to have a feeding tube. I learned a lesson that way.....and after that, I tried harder to do what they told me. I feel for him...and I feel for the rest of you trying to deal with him. Prayers for all of you...if there is anything I can do, just let me know. I love you.

Tonight Knight told him to stop playing DR and start listening to the DRs. I told him to stop being an a- -. He finally used the mouth rinses. Feeding tube will go in when his infection goes down.
