Have any of you called the drinker an alcoholic to their face...I lost a sis and brother from this and my other brother is a binge drinker and I told him he was an alcoholic...now I feel bad even though he has a drinking issue but I couldn't hold it back any longer...please reply...

Plenty of people told me I was an alcoholic. I got angry with them and got resentments. Eventually I believed them and got sober. You don't have to lie to an alcoholic.
Don't feel guilty for telling the truth.
Thank you for your reply...I know that alcoholism is a disease and I think having known people who I love so much go threw it knowing the pain they are in makes me upset to throw out labels..but maybe it's my own defensive guard ..Your kindness is appreciated : )
Yes, alcoholism is a disease...and you have every right to express your concerns to someone you love about their drinking.
