Hello.

I have not been on this website for about a year, as I came from betrayed spouses bc my x was constantly cheating on me.

Christy, you sound like a woman that feels hurt, betrayed and scared....and that is not crazy. I dont know what is going on with your BF. I know that I am in recovery for 14 years and drinking is not my problem today. I dont process stuff well, but I have learned where to go and who to talk to in order to get the help toward a solution today. I dont hear him working toward solutions. This is really not your problem...its his. You have truly found a way to start working toward a solution. Al-Anon is a fellowship for the friends and families of Alcoholics. Active and recovering alkies. You definately belong with Al-Anon. They will help you to find solutions and where your personal boundaries are. They will help you to see where and how you react to your BF in a way that is not healthy and how to gain back the abilty to make healthy choices in a hurtful relationship. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing. And how you are doing it. Please commit to at least 6 meetings before making a decision about that group being for you or not. If the first group does not work toward solutions, go to a different group till you find one that does. God bless....
