Did you gain weight when you quit smoking? Doctors have discovered that taking a certain drug while trying to quit smoking may help with the dreaded weight gain. According to Health Day News, "Taking a pill called naltrexone (ReVia) when they stop smoking could help women keep dreaded weight gain at bay, according to new research.
Researchers analyzed two earlier studies that compared the quit rates and weight gain among heavy smokers who received either naltrexone -- a drug used to treat addiction -- or an inactive placebo, along with a nicotine patch and weekly counseling while trying to quit smoking." MORE
