It has been a very long time since I was able to sleep at night.

Back when I was earlier into the grieving, I was lucky to get 2 hrs of sleep, rest of night, I am walking the halls, stopping and rocking while standing almost.

I didn't want prescription meds so I bought some melatonin.

It's weird you said that because I rock myself also.

~hugs~

It didn't hit me right away but about six months after he died I found I was having trouble sleeping.

Finally when I talked to my doctor after moving he prescribed some sleeping pills.

I ONLY took 4/14 and didn't want any more.

He was glad because because they can become addictive.

I did sleep though after months not sleeping.

Part of it though was probably the move, a fresh start.

I have in the mean time been dealing with Depression so I am on an Anti-Depressant.

It helped a lot more in the beginning help me to sleep.

The last couple of months have been hard with my dd in the hospital but am finding sleeping a little better since she got out.

Sometimes though it's difficult with the pain.

I think sometimes it helps keeping as active as possible, some days that's not an option.

Pamper yourself with a good book a magazine a movie maybe a bath some new jammies.

A cup of green tea or your favourite beverage, a hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Some music or a relaxation tape.

Hope this helps.

Hi Barbara,

I was just looking for The Prayer Tree on this board and saw your post and wanted to reply.

How are you sleeping now?

Hey Heidi,

I did wonder if you might have Chronic fatigue syndrome ? There is a board for that and fibromyalgia. I have it in my mind that thyroid problems may be connected to CFS.

Love
