The 4th of July has always been a very large event for my family with our annual family reunion. Last year we lost my grandmother early on the morning of the 4th. This year our family reunion was very strained and not anything like the usual yearly event. Everything has changed for us and we all feel odd celebrating but don't want to quit the 4th of July family tradition because Grandma was one of the people who loved it most. Has anyone been through this? Should we just start something new on a different day or work through this somehow?
