Death of our dreams

We go through several bereavements when we lose someone. Our dreams die as well. We have to say goodbye to the future we thought we were going to have and we feel angry, cheated. I know we will come through this and we still do have a future but it's tough because it isn't what we had hoped for.

~Josie~ . But your happy ending would probably have made your DH very sad as he would have wanted you to live. I am so very very sorry you are in so much pain. I wish it wasn't so. :smileyhappy:

Why wouldn't my dh want me happy with him in heaven vs. so sad here on earth without him?
I know you are trying, but with my belief that we are short term on earth and meant for eternity in heaven, earthly life is a stop on our journey, but not our destination. Just my 2 cents.

I think she thought you meant that you died instead of him. I know one day we'll be reunited but we are the ones left to keep their memory and story alive. Hugs Josie!

So true Promise. When James died my dreams of motherhood were shattered (or at least I thought). I not only grieved for him, but the loss of our children. Even looking at Zaydren I still grieve the loss of James' and I's kids. Growing old with someone that truly loved me and got me? Yeah gone too. Lots of loss bottled into one.

I know your DH would want you happy but not at the expense of you leaving this earth before your time. Yes, earthy life is where we come to learn our lessons but i do believe that our time of leaving is chosen for us.

I wish I could ease your pain Josie, I hate to see you so sad and suffering.

Thanks Promise, today wasn't as awful as some days are. Going out to eat with a friend helped me feel better, alas, then I eat too much so that is why I am so overweight. I know you have your own food issues. I guess at age 55, not like I am trying to be a runway model so if extra calories brings me some happiness, I guess it is OK. I always clean plate at restaurants so eating out always adds extra calories. love, Josie

Hey Josie,

It is great you do get out now and again. Don't worry about the calories.
