Josie--I hope Valentine's Day isnt too upsetting for you. For my husband this was not a holiday he paid much attention to! I didnt mind and would rather be the one tucking some candy and a card into his lunch box to surprise him when he got to his lunch.

It was our son's birthday on Sunday and the first

Hi Promise: my husband also said to go on. He was 8 yrs older than me and I did think I would be in my 80s and he would already by gone, but not him dying when I was only 54, that was a total shock to my system. But hubby would say see all the bus trips and all the little old ladies and told me to go on. And he made me promise I wouldn't kill myself but at times when the pain is so intense I wonder, did he know how hard this would be and how much it would hurt when he made me promise that? thanks for sharing Promise, Josie

Thanks Katie. I talked to a widow friend but she already made plans with another lady and I didn't want to be the third wheel so made some lame excuse I would find something else to do. So I will talk about this to my therapist and decide if I should make myself leave the house that day or allow myself to stay home as you are doing Katie. love, Josie

We do have each other to talk with and it makes a real difference being able to share with people who really do get it.

Love the new Sig BTW :smileyhappy:

Hey Lisa,

Your son's birthday must have been hard for you both. The firsts of everything are just so painful.
