Hugo Medley has safely entered the world.  His mom was uninjured in the shooting but his father is fighting for his life. One small miracle. I pray the other pregnant mom that was shot also has a mircacle and her unborn child survives.

Thanks for sharing that Promise. I haven't watched the news since that first day of the tragedy as had quit watching most news except weather after hubby died. He loved to watch the weather every night. I had taped it for him the night he died, not knowing he was dead as the hospital never bothered to find his family until after he was pronounced dead.
As you said, I hope the other baby makes it too. If you ever hear what stupid senseless insane reason the shooter had for doing it, please let me know.
love, Josie

I don't watch the news either.  I get so depressed and overwhelmed when I try...watching the news makes me scared to leave the house and feel as though I am never safe...even at home...so for my mental health I avoid it like the plague.

Hi,  I so know what you mean.   Before I got my puppy, never having a dog,  I was worried on the taking out to potty at odd hours, so now the first one of the day is 4am and I try and not get too far from the door, but if anyone wanted to rob me or worse, wouldn't be hard to track that we go out at 4am, but then I just decided to let that fear go as other wise I would drive myself even more nuts with fear over it.

Once it gets dark, I would never answer the door if someone rang the bell.   But I was that way when my hubby was alive but not at home.

hugs,  Josie

I tend not to watch the news or read papers normally because I find that the constant round of disaster and suffering just makes me want to hide away from what the world has become. So much is just senseless violence.
