Cervix stitching?

Hi everyone. I have had one miscarriage and a premature birth (had a child at 24 weeks) and my doctor says I have an incompetent cervix. I am now 14 weeks pregnant again and am about to have my cervix stitched. I want to know what to expect. Has anyone had it done and does it work? How did it feel?
