Hi BR ladies!!!

To you recent BR surgeries; how are you enjoying the summer with your new 'girls'? Finding it easier to stand the heat, wearing cute little tank tops, bathing suits fitting better, feeling sexier, getting more exercise, enjoying life more???

So many questions, but all things I know I find in my life since having my BR surgery 4 years ago, August 7th!!!! A most wonderful day in my life that still makes me smile! I would do it all again and have no regrets. The scars I have, which aren't bad, are so worth the feeling of being a normal woman with normal sized boobs. It is wonderful

Share with us your thoughts on all of this, as this will also help any newbies here with their decisions!!

Enjoy the rest of your summer!!!

It is funny how different people react. But if they are true friends and family they will know how miserable you have been. I found so much support from so many people, even guy friends. But tell the ones you are comfortable with. I've always been a pretty open person so for me, I didn't shout it from the rooftops but I was honest and would share when asked. Some people will just think you have lost weight, etc. And technically you will! I lost almost four pounds from my surgery!! Good luck with your journey and stay in touch!

Hi

I just wanted to say how nice and encouraging it is to see all the positive messages on here from people who have had BR!

I have been considering it for 18 months now and

Hi, Lizzie!

First, I have to say that I have postponed my surgery from September until November. This is not because of any reluctance on my part, but only because I have undertaken a huge project for the coming year which I need to get underway before I have my surgery.

Nancy, my hesitation about telling others is related more to my age than anything else. Most people my age want to avoid any kind of surgery if possible.

Hi Lizzie!
I am excited for you that you are taking this first step towards what I call, freedom!! Sounds like you are a perfect candidate. Yes, there is scarring, and it never fully goes away. But if you have a good PS, he will hide those scars in the folds of your breasts and if you take good care of yourself while healing, they will be minimal. At first glance you can't see mine, but then of course on inspection you can. Now granted, I am 53, so to me the scarring was never a concern. My niece had BR surgery when she was 17 and she healed very fast and her I am sure because she was so young, her scarring is very faint. So your youth is definitly a plus in that respect. I will be anxious to hear how your visit went with the PS. Let us know!!!

Barb,
Sorry to hear you have to wait a bit longer to have your surgery, but you are smart in saving up so you can have the proper time to heal! good luck with your project, and November will be here before you know it!!

I understand that Barb, for sure. Maybe just wait and see how people respond after the surgery. By then it will be behind you and all they will see is the wonderful results and how great and happy you look!!!

Hi

Thank you for the replies!

Nancy it was really good to hear that your niece had the surgery at a young age and that the scars are faint as that really is my main concern. My appointmnet with the hospital is on Tuesday morning so I will keep you updated with how it goes!
