Has anyone here had a breast lift? Can you tell me what all is involved and about how much it cost you? Was it worth it?

I personally haven't but would be interested in the details from someone who has.

I personally have not, but I have been researching it with my best friend for the last few years (since her last baby was born). We've learned a lot, and she's had three consultations with board-certified plastic surgeons. Basically, she was a solid C cup BEFORE breastfeeding three kids, is 35 years old, and lost and kept off (so proud!) 80 pounds. She has always planned to have "mommy makeover" including a tummy tuck and breast lift, but the surgeons all sort of squashed those dreams. She didn't want implants. Unfortunately, breastfeeding drastically affects the actual breast tissue, and they all said that they could and would do a breast lift, but that she doesn't even have enough actual breast tissue left to fill an A cup. She still wears the C cup bras, but it's because she has to to be able to fit in all the skin. I've been reading plastic surgery pages and learning a lot for what seems like ages. This breast lift page for a plastic surgery practice in Michigan has some good information about it.  There are different incisions and other options to consider.  I believe the recovery is similar to other procedures, but a lot of it all depend on the individual.  No two bodies are alike, and your surgeon should be able to answer all of your questions and help you decide what's best for you.  I should add that my friend has been putting it off mainly because her husband is afraid for her to go under anesthesia.  As far as cost goes, her quotes were about $15,000 total for breast lift, implants, tummy tuck, and liposuction.  Price will probably depend on your geographic location, your doctor, and your treatment plan, but RealSelf has an average price of just under $8,000 and a "worth it" rating of 87%.  I hope this helps!
