Hi! I think you should be fine. Of course, try to be mindful of that, but 14 days from surgery, you should be well on your way to healing. The swelling is natural and will happen when you over do it. You figure, for 2 weeks you have not done any heavy lifting and all those muscles around your breast were reacting. If you saw no bleeding or anything like, I really think you are fine. Keep an eye on the area and if the swelling bothers you and/or any tenderness, do what I did; I would put a cold compress on the area for about 15-20 minutes at time. A bag of frozen peas works wonders as it conforms to your breast area. Be careful and always listen to your body... good luck in your healing. By the way, do you love your new girls? Are you happy you had the surgery?
The overall swelling takes a while. But you will see them take a nice form and soon settle into their beautiful shape. Funny how some of the bad issues associated with those beasts goes away almost instantly. I remember someone telling me right away that I looked taller and someone else that I looked thinner. When you aren't hunched over, it is amazing how nicer you look!! Good luck at your appt. tomorrow.
I know that the issue is pretty much resolved at this point, but I just want to add that if you are really concerned, let your doctor's office know that you want the doctor to see you. Although it was minor and resolved itself I don't think there is anything wrong with insisting, especially considering the cost of the surgery.
Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing?! I am sure everyday you say yourself and smile!! What a game changer..... love this line!! It is so true. Before you know it you will be in those cute tops (not believing you can actually wear them) and enjoying the summer, more than ever!! Stay in touch! How are the scars looking? Nancy :)
It seems I didn't do any damage and they are looking great. Scars are minimal and feeling very back to normal - 4 weeks post op now. Only bummer - looks like I am a 32D and I had really stressed I want to be a C cup. Feeling pretty depressed about it to be honest after all that money and time off and anticipation etc. They are soooooo much better, but just not as small as I'd hoped! Thanks for checking in!
Hi! I know I am late coming in here but I wanted to let you know the same thing happened to me.
I think I was about 2 weeks post op...maybe a little less. Without thinking I picked up my 3 year old and felt something in my left breast tear...it was not painful really but I could literally feel some internal stitches tear. I was freaked out but nothing came of it and I healed up just fine.
