Hello!

The boards have been really quiet lately, and I'm sorry I haven't been on much. This is a crazy time of year for all of us.

I would love to hear from all of you who have had your surgeries in the past couple months. How are you healing? Have you bought any new clothes? Ready to razzle dazzle this Holiday season?

I know my first Christmas, I spent a long time trying to find just the right sweater, since now I had the chance to wear a normal size and not feel huge. I even found a beautiful Christmas bra, that only my hubby saw, but I sure felt special wearing it.

Also would love to hear from anyone getting ready to have surgery. Any questions, concerns you can share with us and maybe get some help/advice??

Lets see if, dispite our hectic schedules, we can still take the time to connect with our fellow BR sisters!!!

Nancy :smileyhappy:

I am just a little over 3 months post op. I am doing amazing. I am finally healed for the most part. I still have some problems with the incisions on the sides, but its not bad. I am finally able to wear bra's that have underwire in them also, so that makes me really happy.

Not only do I feel amazing, I look good also. I have lost 15lbs sense my surgery. I am pretty darn proud of myself. I am leaving next week for a cruise and got some new swimsuits to take the girls out for their début. I am excited :) Hope all is well for everyone else!!!

Oh, so great to hear how much you love the new you!! It truly is a transformation, isn't it!? I am so excited for you and your cruise. Have a total blast and enjoy being in those new swim suits without the worry of things falling out, hanging over, etc.
Enjoy!!! Let us hear all about it. Us here in the cold Northeast will need a "warm" story to be jealous of! LOL!!

Yeah I am looking forward to it. The only thing I am not liking is the fact that my side scars show on all of my bathing suits. I am still self conscious about them in a big way.

Hello,

cant believe its almost xmas and im 3 months out. loving the new me. i have been wearing things i would never have. we had a family xmas dinner with cousins that we havent seen in a while and they couldnt believe how great i looked. i let one of them in on my secret. it felt so good getting all those compliments. hope all is well with everyone. good luck to all the upcoming surgeries. i tried on some bathing suits that showed my side scars but found one that just covers them. the ones underneath are still red and i still get some zingers and the one is still a tad bigger than the other but all in all i am still so happy. i wish i could be wearing bathing suits,. but it got cold here so sweaters and pants are all i have been wearing. i wanna go on a cruise, they sound fun. i also lost some weight so i am feeling pretty good about myself. i look at larger busted woman and think they should look into this. i feel normal and like i fit in now. i put on some of my old bras and had to laugh. i cant believe how big they were. ok enough about me. glad to hear from some of you guys. have a wonderful holiday and i'll be talking to you.

Sounds like you're doing really well. Did the doctor give you any indication how long it would take for the staples to absorb completely?

Speaking of Zumba, did you know we have a brand new message board (just opened today)? It's the Zumba Girls Club! Check it out!

Jackie,

Those staples do sound annoying! And yes, it will take a while for the scars to fade. But really, if you are like me, you really don't care.

I love that you are taking Zumba and getting active! Isn't Zumba fun? I am so uncooridinated, but it is exercise and fun and who cares? It is so nice to be able to do all that stuff, isn't it? I still marvel that things don't jiggle and pound me black and blue!!! Ha Ha!

Keep healing well and enjoying the new you!! What a great gift you have given yourself!
