Hi! I'm new to the board. (well.. obviously I signed on back when I was trying to get pregnant because of my user name. It took us 3 years.. but we finally have our precious baby and so I was able to go on to have a breast reduction)

Today was my surgery. I am 29 years old, 5'5, 170 lbs and I went from a heavy DD cup to a small C! I havent seen them yet.. I'm too scared to peel off the wrapping... but by the looks of them from the OUTSIDE of the wrapping... I'm very happy with the size!! I finally look NORMAL!!

congrats on the new you. your gonna love every minute of them. i am 11 months out and am still in awe. i find myself looking at them every chance i get cuz i cant believe i actually got it done. my ps said not to lift anything for like 2 months. sorry, but its gonna be some time before you can pick up your son. you dont wanna mess up your recovery by lifting to soon. hope you have a smooth recovery and dont panic when you take all the wrappings off, they will look odd for a few weeks then start to take their shape!!

Wow, congrats on your surgery, and getting on the computer so quick. Be careful not to overdo it. I remember the first couple weeks even typing bothered me and made me sore. So take it easy. It is really exciting when you first get that chance to see. Look past the stitches and the dried blood, etc., to the perky girls now living on your chest. Remember everything will heal and fade in time and like Jacki says, you will marvel at them everyday. I am almost 4 years out and I still do!! As for picking up your son, yup, that will be at least a month or more. I know I was not allowed to use my hand weights in exercise class til week 6 and then actually til week 8 when I developed an opening in the stitches in a spot. Doctor said that was from overuse, so you really need to be careful. Cause you feel so good in a couple weeks and like you can do anything! Especially with the weight off your chest, literally!!!
And yeah, the belly has a way of looking a bit bigger when it comes out from the shadows - LOL! But once you are healed you will find that all kind of exercise is SO much easier and pain free!!
Good luck with the new you, your little pumpkin and take care of yourself. Let us know how you are doing!

Oh yeah, my nipples were relocated!! Big time! And made smaller. It is amazing how once they healed, they look so normal. And they still have sensation, just a little different than before. I remember though, the first few months, they were always at attention. So crazy!!! They now react to cold a lot quicker! But I love em and they fit perfectly with my smaller girls!!

Glad to hear you are mending quickly.
My breasts were definitly very saggy but getting rid of half the tissue and the moving the nipples way up, gives your breasts the look of perky. Promise you will feel amazing! Just getting rid of the extra weight will be such s relief and it doesn't matter your age. You will feel younger!!!
