Three weeks ago had a breast reduction surgery. I have a very tender spot in the left upper abdomen under the left breast. Is this from the surgery? Also if I apply pressure to the right upper abdomen, I feel the pain on the left side.  This is bothering me more than the actual breast discomfort. Did anyone experience this? Also at 3 weeks, I'm still very uncomfortable and "deformed" looking. When will this get better?

Hi! So sorry to hear you are having these pains. I did not experience them, but it could all be a part of healing, with the way the muscles, nerves have been cut and put back together. Have you been over doing it? Sometimes, that is all it is and you just need to take it easy and listen to your body. It does take a while for the breasts to form into a nice shape. Mine looked like footballs for weeks, and then as the swelling went down (which takes weeks, especially if you don't take it easy) your breasts will settle into a nice shape. I would say I finally started to feel good and things started getting back to normal between 4-6 weeks. Take a deep breath, it is all worth it. I would say if the pain doesn't go away in the next week or when you start taking it easy, call your doctor. Besides all this, are you happy with the results? Do you feel a big change in other aspects, like shoulder/neck/back pain, clothes fitting better... etc.? Let us know how you are doing - stay in touch!! Nancy :)
