Today I see my family doc for a pre-op physical and then go for mammogram, EKG, and lab tests.

Saw my surgeon on Monday.

Yes, it does seem odd....poor thing. I would almost think hormonal or something. But I don't think we have to worry. Just enjoy those new girls.

Have a wonderful Christmas and I hope you bought a new outfit to show off in!! In your picture you are beautiful and now I am sure you feel it more!!

Take care!

Barb, sounds like you had the same issue I had with the Oozing incision under the breast.

I was a wreck for a week or so, depressed about the issue I was having and thinking I would never

heal up. Now I am 100% This was the best thing I could have ever done for myself! Absolutely no

regrets! I hope now you are feeling even better and your healing is continuing. It is not an easy

Sounds like you know and understand your limits which is good. And yes, for now, just eating whatever appeals to you is good. Get your strength back and all the rest will slowly start to fall into place. If you aren't eating too much I am sure your healing is being a little delayed by that.
And if I lived near you, dear, I would be over in a flash to run you around. Try not to be too proud to ask for help and let people know about the surgery. This is a time of year where people seem to be mostly jolly and glad to help out.
Good for you on the weight loss, and slow is good. Less likely to come back on. A little bit of exercise every day will also help your mood. Believe me, without, I would be a b--ch...he he!

Yes, Barb, I remember the granulating part, just didn't know it had a term. It takes a while for that to grow, but it seemed once the inner layer formed, it started to fuse shut with the new skin. I believe the scar is not as pretty as it could be in that spot, but, if you are like me, who cares??
I do worry about your eating though... Maybe good for the waistline, but nothing else. Do you have other issues that could be contributing? Are you on some strong meds? Keep in touch, please.

Wow, I don't blame you for being unhappy. I hope this soon starts to heal better for you. I wore a thin cotton tank under my bras that first month. I changed it everyday, sometimes twice if there was some oozing, and besides, it felt so comfortable under the bra. Now maybe the cotton sports bras you have will do the same, but I know for me, it even felt better against my nipples which were healing slower.

Don't feel bad about getting in their face about your recovery! Let em know, and keep us posted on how you are doing. Praying to hear that the spots are closing up. I know I had a spot, in the T area that opened and it took 10 days to close. That was a pain to take care of, but it finally healed.

Good luck ~

I seriously have never heard of them growing back. Like you said, if you gain a lot of weight, you may gain some in your breasts, but even that seems to be rare. I have read messages on here for 4 years and don't recall anyone having that problem. But maybe it can happen. I don't really get how it would. Maybe some hormonal imbalance??? Not sure, but I really wouldn't worry about it. The ladies I know who have had it done, all are like me, perfectly happy with their boobs and even though there has been some ups and downs with weight, the girls have pretty much stayed the same.
