On Monday my husband and I went to a specialist scan, as they had found something on the 20 week anomally scan.
We drove to Manchester, where they scanned us and told us there was very slim chance of out baby going full-term and surviving birth.
This is due to having a medical condition. The baby has only half a lung developed and the heart is squashed by bowel, and the stomach is in the wrong place. We are devastated, but they have offered us a termination... which after much heart ache we have chosen to go with.
Purely becauce we dont want to cause the baby esspecially, as well as our family, any uneccesary pain and discomfort. The babys body just wont be able to function, and it would be cruel to all involved to watch that suffering.
I'm just looking for some words of advice, that i'm doign the right thing. I've lied to a few people and said we had no choice... but we did (in a way)
