Review Finds 1 in 3 Women Suffer Domestic Violence

According to iVillage Health, a new study suggests a very high number of women have been subjected to physical or sexual violence."The first major global review of violence against women finds that nearly one in three have been physically or sexually assaulted by a current or former partner.

And another study, published June 20 in The Lancet, finds that more than one-third of all female murder victims worldwide are killed by an intimate partner, a new study shows." read more

The studys give numbers but don't do much for prevention.   It's similar to MaryLizard's question about Military Sexual Assault.   It's frustrating to have knowledge that this stuff happens and to gather the statistics and not be able to change the situation.
