This is my first week on Phase 1 - not losing much pls help!

Hi - I hope I can get help here with what I might be doing wrong. I have quite a bit of weight to lose, so that isn't the issue. I did not exercise at all this week, but still expected that with such a drastic clean diet plan that I would experience the weight loss many people experienced as written in the book. Even my waist size did not change. I saw avocados in the recipes in phase one but not on the list of foods to enjoy. That confused me, and considering it is a healthy fat and I know it helps keep you full, I have included avocados, probably 1/2 to 1 whole one almost each day. I would appreciate any advice you have, hoping to make some connections here to help out! Thank you!
