Should I start with P1?

Hi ladies!

I'm no stranger to the SBD. Six months after my son was born, I started with P2 and lost 35 lbs in 6 months. I was still nursing at the time. This was back in 2010.

I did something stupid and picked up smoking last year. I quit in early December. I tried SBD in January, after less than a month of being smoke-free, and just kept gaining and losing the same 4 lbs. I had started with P2 because I felt like the cravings probably wouldn't be too bad. They weren't but I did over-indulge in after-dinner snacks. I really didn't think it was enough to sabotage my diet, but rather my metabolism slowdown was to blame.

Hi Michelle,
I would suggest that you do just a few days of phase 1. You don't need to do a full 2 weeks. You could probably get your blood sugar evened out in about 4 days. I think you'll see a difference with your willpower if you do just a week on phase 1. And, of course exercise will be a big benefit.
