South Beach Diet Bars disappeared from the market for a while. My husband really enjoyed these as a protein snack after swimming or on a break. As best we can understand, they are no longer made by Kraft. He found them as available on the Internet, but we don't want to order a whole lot at once until we can find them locally to taste test, or hear from someone who has tried them recently. So can any of

Hi Judy,
I haven't seen them in my area in a very long time and haven't tried any new flavors. I just stick with Kashi bars.

I wasn't even aware there were some new ones. One of our members has had success on drugstore.com in buying some favorites, but it's been awhile since she posted that information.

I used to buy them all the time by the 12-ct box on Drugstore.com, but it's probably been a couple of years now.

Thanks, Cammy and Cathy for your answers. I'll have to check drugstore.com (especially since I have some earned dollars there!). My huband found them the bars on Amazon. There are very few reviews posted so far. Amazon has the old Kraft version still posted and the product is unavailable.

I'm hoping to find them locally and probably will soon since the new version is just coming out.

Judy, don't know if you're a couponer or not... but...

coupons.com has a $1 printable coupon off any 1 box of SBD bars.

I found the Walgreens deal and bought three boxes. I'll post some reviews after my husband and I try them.

It looks like the new bars come in three forms......Cereal Bars, Meal Bars, and Snack Bars. Walgreens had the Snack and Meal versions. The ones that I purchased were pretty high in protein. This is the main feature that my husband wants. as he needs protein after his swimming workout in the mornings. The "Chocolate Flavored Meal Bars" contain 12g of protein, 180 cal, 24 carbs, and 9g of fiber. The "Whipped Chocolate Almond Snack Bars" are smaller and contain 6g protein, 100 cal, 16g carb, and 6g fiber.

Thanks for your tip about the discounts. Like you, I hope there are more good offers to come in this introductory stage.
