Hello Everyone!  I hope the Holidays were Merry and Bright for all!

I'm ready to get rid of holiday weight and much more, given that the last few weeks have been a free for all - for me, anyway! (Bad girl)!

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of oatmeal (cooked in skim milk) w/1 Tablespoon of natural PB; sliced banana (this was huge - counting as 2 fruits), glass of skim milk

Cup of decaf w/ FF HH and S&L

Lunch: homemade soup w/ chickpeas, turkey sausage and kale (w/ FF chicken stock); salad w/ 1 T balsamic vinaigrette

Snack: an orange

Dinner: Meatless Wednesday (since Monday was New Year's Eve and not so meatless): Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie (used lentils and sauteed mushrooms as "meat", thickened veg stock w/ cornstarch to make "gravy", peas and carrots, mashed white sweet potato; caesar salad - no croutons, legal dressing; glass of skim milk

Exercise begins again tomorrow - just focusing on clean eating and being good to myself today!

I had really hoped that when I returned from my holiday hiatus, the kinks in the technology of this board would have been worked out.  Not so much.

The board wouldn't let me log in on Thursday, and when I tried Friday, it told me I wasn't authorized to make comments.  My patience is waning.  I get the feeling I'm not the only one -- I haven't seen much activity on the board lately when I have been able to log in. It's too bad - this board used to be fantastic; but when a simple login takes 5 minutes, then to be told you're not authorized to comment, what's the point of visiting?

Lunch: Homemade chickpea stew w/ turkey sausage and kale; salad w/ EVOO and vinegar

Snack: an orange

Dinner - Meatless Monday: Artichoke, swiss-chard and (ww)orzo-stuffed portabellos (just kind of making this up as I go along); caesar salad (yogurt-based RF dressing/no croutons); glass of skim milk

Exercise: Cardio Dance (FitTV workout)

Lunch: Leftover artichoke-swiss chard and ww orzo-stuffed portabello; salad w/ EVOO and vinegar

Dinner: Turkey meatloaf, mashed white sweet potato, steamed broccolli; glass of skim milk

Hi Amy, We are all frustrated with how long it's taking for all the kinks to be worked out. Thanks for your vigilance. So glad you continue to post. Hang in there.

I'm finding that I'm not very accountable when I I'm 'gone' from here for more than a weekend or a couple of days at a time.  Old, ugly habits slip back in, and we all know the result!

Breakfast: slice of crockpot fritatta w/ spinach, turkey bacon and tomato; sliced (canned - NSA/splenda-sweetened) peaches; glass of skim milk

Cup of decaf w/ FF HH and S&L

Lunch: Homemade chili (mix of lean turkey and lean ground beef w/ 3 different beans) w/ 1 T RF sour cream; salad w/ EVOO and vinegar

Dinner: Meatless Monday - homemade ww veggie lasagna w/ store-bought pesto (mushrooms, carrots, roasted peppers, spinach, zuchinni, tomato, RF cheese); caesar salad (no croutons); glass of skim milk

Dessert: an orange (or 2 - loving them right now)

We're closing in on our end of fiscal year at work, so I've been eating, sleeping, and breathing work and not much else.  Today was a no-go for exercise, but I'm determined to get something in tomorrow - no excuses.  I'm also trying to get more water in.  I've been slacking on that, too.

Snack: triscuits w/ laughing cow; pepper strips

Dinner: soup-bowl cabbage rolls w/ extra veggies and brown rice; glass of skim milk

Dessert: an orange

Exercise: Cardio Jazz workout (fitTV)

It's my day in the office, and the commute was not fun.  We got a few inches of snow overnight, but you'd think we got a foot considering how backed up traffic was. 

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of oatmeal ( cooked in skim milk) w/ sliced banana and a heaping tablespoon of npb; glass of skim milk

Cup of decaf w/ FF HH and S&L

Lunch: Homemade chili; salad w/ EVOO and vinegar

Snack: an orange

Dinner: Slice of leftover veggie lasagna; mixed greens w/ EVOO and vinegar; glass of skim milk

Exercise: shoveling - some this morning, more when I get home

Breakfast: 1 'fried' egg, 2 slices of canadian bacon, slice of ww toast w/ smart balance light; canned, NSA peaches; glass of skim milk

Snack: Light & Fit yogurt

Lunch: Turkey-vegetable soup (from freezer); salad w/ EVOO and vinegar

Snack: cucumber spears

Dinner: Leftover soup-bowl cabbage rolls (made w/ ground turkey and extra veggies, and brown rice); glass of skim milk

The way this day is going so far, I'll be lucky if I'm not still working at 9 tonight!

I'm exhausted.

And I'm realizing that I'm failing at trying to exercise while working 12-14 hour days.  Some people might be able to do it, but I can't, and I'm tired of beating myself up for it.

It's only about a week until Feb 1 (our end of fiscal year is Jan 31 at work and the push is on), so I'm going to give myself a break until then.  I'll still eat healthy, but the exercise portion is going to have to wait a week more.

Breakfast: Slice of crockpot fritatta w/ broccoli, scallions and turkey sausage; a banana; glass of skim milk

Cup of decaf w/ FF HH and S&L

Snack: Light & Fit yogurt

Lunch: Leftover sliced top round (from a roast I cooked Sunday) on ww w/ RF cheese slice, lettuce, and legal horseradish sauce; large salad (probably 3-3.5 cups) w/ EVOO and vinegar

Snack: an orange

Dinner: Pan-seared salmon filet, roasted asparagus and carrots, whole grain pilaf; glass of skim milk

So tired... 

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of oatmeal (cooked in skim milk), heaping tablespoon of npb, sliced banana; big glass of skim milk

Cup of decaf w/ FF HH and S&L

Lunch: Homemade chickpea stew w/ turkey sausage and kale; salad w/ EVOO and vinegar

Snack: an orange

Dinner: Leftover farro risotto w/ butternut and kale; caesar salad (no croutons); I'm thinking that red wine will definitely be present after the crazy that this day has showered me with already - and it isn't even noon.
