Help! Trying to get psyched up/prepared to start.

My doctor recommended I try SBD, I am 37 & need to lose 30-40lbs.
I have the book at home, but want to get ideas on a more personal level. Can you tell me what you all usually eat for breakfast. lunch dinner? just as an example? no milk at all in phase 1? any cottage cheese, cheese, yogurt, etc?
I need to do something, I have had enough of this body of mine! Any inspiration is welcome! :)
