Hi,

My doctor recommended I try SBD, I am 37 & need to lose 30-40lbs.

I have the book at home, but want to get ideas on a more personal level. Can you tell me what you all usually eat for breakfast. lunch dinner? just as an example? no milk at all in phase 1? any cottage cheese, cheese, yogurt, etc?

I need to do something, I have had enough of this body of mine! Any inspiration is welcome! :)

Hi Danielle,
Welcome! Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions after reading through the "Getting Started" post Joy mentioned.

Good luck, Danielle! Joy is right that new ways of eating work best when you are ready for them. But the folks on this board are happy to cheer you on and provide support. Keep posting your questions and -- as you get going -- your successes and frustrations and we will help push you.

As for meals, I love eggs so I mostly eat eggs for breakfast. This time of year, my dinner is often grilled meat, chicken or fish and some salad or veggies. My husband does not even notice that we are on a "diet" because most of my recipes come out of the Weber grilling cookbooks. I also makes lots of soups and (in P2) pasta sauces in advance for time when we are busy.
