Hi,
Welcome. I see that you have already read through the Getting Started thread and there is a link that talks about the side effects you mention. Most people only experience these symptoms for 3 days or so. Your body is detoxing and balancing your blood sugar levels which will let you be in control of your cravings. Soon you'll be able to tell the difference between real hunger and cravings. Hang in there and stay away from those simple carbs. You don't want to undo all you've accomplished. Stay strong. You can do it.

Thanks Cathy! That's a good point, I didn't really think of it as detoxing cause I thought I was past the hard part. I ate some Ezekiel bread and ff greek yogurt with a little honey for dinner and I feel much better. I figured it was better to cheat intentionally than stay hungry and end up going overboard. After reading some of the articles, it seems like cheating once on Phase 1 isn't too big of a deal. Normally I feel pretty frustrated after I mess up on a diet but I actually feel ready for my next week of Phase 1! Thanks again for your support!

Maybe you could think about moving into phase 2 early. It's better to move into phase 2 and continue then feeling like you need to give up. If you're not feeling better you might want to consider it. Also, get some agave nectar. It's a legal choice and better for your blood sugar than honey.

I'm doing great! Thanks for asking. You were right- it was just a temporary thing and I've felt fine since then. I'm staying on Phase 1 for 5 more days so I can finish my 2 weeks. The agave was a great suggestion, I didn't realize it was such a better choice than honey. Excited to start changing up my menu next week! I've lost 7 lbs, which feels great.
