dyk Sean has crossed over to the world of appreciating a good checklist for day to day routines

dyk he has been using the morning checklist and commented that it does indeed releive some anxiety pressure to remember everything and get it all done

dyk the kids can read the list and they have started taking care of their own things -- b/c they recognize their name and the mornings have been smooth and easy and CLEAN (they had been trashing the house, the kitchen, leaving clothes around, toys out, TV on, food on table -- ugh!)

dyk and so I have them printed and they get ready, and when it's all checked off they are 100% ready to go

dyk POURING rain outside - sheets blowing sideways

dyk LOVE IT

dyk I heard Ellie in her room say "what's that sound?"

dyk it was THUNDER -- not sure she's ever heard thunder before?

dyk I did tell y'all a few days ago (wed I think?) she woke up and decided to like people and start talking. HAHA Might've been thursday.

dyk she has no use for "baba, kitty, mama, go) she says Who's this? What's that? What's that sound? Why you do that? "Wah-dew-do-dat?"

dyk it's ADORABLE

dyk I'd video but she's vehemently opposed to being taped. LOL

DYK I am a big fan of a good checklist! :-)
DYK I find it is almost completely necessary for me to have things written down anymore...too much to simply remember
DYK so you get to sleep in while they take care of everything in the list?

dyk without Sean's laundry help, I was able to finish the load he left for me yesterday by putting it away and THEN switch the other load into the dryer and the rest of the household stuff into the washer.

dyk right now, the laundry could be considered DONE b/c none of it needs my attention

dyk I also have a batch of cupcakes in the oven (doubled egg to give the gluten free flour a little lighter texture) and the dishes are done

dyk the tarp I secured over the engine is keeping it dry. go me. lol

dyk I am usually awake but not out of bed -- Sean gets up about 6:15 and gets himself ready and the kids are usually rolling out of bed about 6:45-7am and they are gone out the door by 7:30am

dyk Abi comes in and I check her hair, or put in clips or braids of ponies and I "sign off" on her outfit :-)

dyk Ellie sleeps until 9:30 or so.

dyk so the thunder, a dirty diaper, and her leg stuck in her crib railing (lol dork) interrupted naptime

dyk but Ellie is happy and playing and ate a mini cupcake so maybe she will be up until we get Abi at 3:40 then take maybe another 1 hour nap and be up from 5:00-7:30 before bedtime

dyk fun!! I love the rain.

dyk my cupcakes came out perfect --- there is one I am about to take a picture of -- b/c it's DOUBLE The size of the others -- haha

dyk the hardest part of adjusting the morning routine was to get Dek up and his clothes from his closet without waking Ellie -- they share a room with the 3/4 wall divider

dyk so we put his clothes in our room the night before and he just slips out the door and doesn't need to go back in

dyk last night he was in our bed for a bit -- then Sean sent him back to bed

dyk Dek gets up to potty and comes to OUR room rather than going back to HIS bed
