dyk, I may not be able to walk tomorrow

dyk, my kettlebell class turned into a bootcamp class

dyk, this is what we did:

Bootcamp consisted of:

-ab/hip work
-24 windmills (kettlebell move)
-3 minutes of agility
Past Races:
-Boston Run to Remember Half Marathon, 5/29/11 (2:35:11, no training!)
-Corporate Run, 3.5 miles 6/2/11 (36:38, 4 days after running the half!)
-BAA 10k, 6/26/11 (1:04:52, wanted to be under an hour...)
-Tavern to Tavern

Dyk I am wondering if they are a good alternative to a class as we don't have one anywhere nearby and am startin to enjoy the small amount we do in bootcamp

dyk, I have a couple kettlebell DVDs

dyk, 2 that came with an 8 pound bell and the Jillian Michaels Shred It - I haven't used them in a long time (about a year)

dyk, I think they are good for beginners and can be good for non-beginners if there are multiple bells - which is one of the reasons I'm expanding my collection

dyk, people say that you can use a 8-10 pound bell for most KB exercises, which I think is true and for some exercises you can sub a barbell

dyk, however, if you have the ability to get a couple different weighed bells, I highly recommend it

dyk, Walmart.com sells/sold a 3-pack CAP kettlebells for around $50 - which is a VERY good price, good brand, good weight ranges (10, 15, & 20), and I randomly pick them up and knock out a few reps
