DYK I was just curious about your experience.
DYK when we started Focalin XR at the lowest dose -- we saw no difference whatsoever in Nick. After the agreed on 1 week, we bumped up 5 mg (to 10mg) and that's when we saw a difference. But it was the exact opposite of what you saw. He was a much calmer, able to focus kid. I describe Nick when unmedicated as a "ping pong ball"....he literally bounces from thought to thought, and activity to activity.
DYK also his impulsivity and doing things without thinking -- that was a big one we were looking to address and 5mg no difference, 10mg he actually THINKS before he does things...

DYK the families of meds are so different, but I agree with Jennie -- if it gets worse, I'd stop that one and look to another type of stimulant med (different drug).
