dyk, she's always come first with him - he has treated her so well the whole time they've been together (about 7 years between dating & marriage). She used to do all of this volunteer stuff with him, in fact they met through a foster kid organization he used to volunteer at...she's always been on board with that stuff even doing more than he does.

dyk, it's kind of complicated in a way, but it all comes down to her not wanting to move to NY and (he thinks) regretting that she pushed him to move and put his career ahead of her's - she's always come first in that relationship and this time she's second at her own insistence

dyk, when they got married she got this amazing job opportunity so they picked up and moved, he put his career in hold for her - no questions asked, it was the right thing to do.

dyk, she encouraged him to go back to school for his MBA, and once he got it, to apply to jobs in NY

dyk, he got this job in NYC, he originally wasn't going to take it because he didnt want her to give up her job. She kept pushing it and finally 'admitted' she didn't like her job and wanted to move anyway. So the plan was for her to move up here and take her time looking for a new job and/or go back to school.

dyk, she's been putting off moving for awhile, always had an excuse why she couldn't leave her job, but she was really working on a divorce

dyk, there are other factors, but they are all things she thought she could change about him, but hasn't been able to (a big one, probably related to the divorce buts she claims it's not, is that he doesn't want to have kids - he wants to adopt kids that have been in the system and give them a stable home)

dyk, the whole situation sucks - he's convinced it's his fault because he took this job, which is why he's been throwing himself into his volunteer work.

Dyk yep, I was thinking the same thing.

Dyk it makes me wonder since he's more concerned with the two guys. Most people can't just let a divorce roll off their backs.

Dyk he sounds like an amazing guy though. Divorce sucks, especially for the person getting left.

dyk this guy sounds like an amazing individual
dyk did she ANY reason for divorcing this guy. The only thing I could imagine is that he gave everyone else more attention than he did her

dyk BEST veggie burger? I would love to know
dyk I'm addicted to the Dr. Praeger ones because they taste like vegetables and not like meat. I hate the ones that pretend to be meat.

dyk, he's the nicest, sweetest, kindest guy - he's always more worried about other people and doing whatever he can do

dyk, in addition to his work with foster kids, he also works with returning vets; he spends about 15 hours a week volunteering with soilders returning from active duty, mostly those who have been wounded.

dyk, that this race was manned by almost all (if not all) active duty men & women...and every single person we passed he stopped & thanked.

dyk, I feel so bad for him, but he's basically just letting it roll off his back - he's sad, but he's more concerned with the 2 guys he took in, the men & women in the armed forces, and making sure that they are taken care of

dyk, like I said - I want to be just like him when I grow up

dyk, and I hate the b!tch

dyk, so I did this mud run with a guy I went to college with (we are just friends Jennie) who now works in NYC for the pysch ward.

dyk, he's been brainwashed/drank the kool-aid/in the honeymoon period so we do NOT talk about work, but we talk about everything else under the sun - we are good friends and have been for years. I want to be just like him when I grow up.

dyk, he does AMAZING things for foster kids, particularly those who have 'aged-out' of the system. He's newest project is taking in a couple of young adults that are going to community college and giving them a place to live (no dorms).

dyk, come to find out - his wife served him with divorce papers Friday.

dyk, I knew I didn't like her for a reason.
