dyk and then when Ellie was getting into the file cabinet I told her, "come here" and I got her little face in my hand and made her look at me and told her, "GET OUT OF THERE. Play blocks or I am putting you back in the stroller."

dyk she gave me the stink eye HAHA

dyk and then she went and played with the blocks

dyk the nurse practioner was amazed

dyk I assured her Ellie was a shrimpy but she understands WAY MORE than others think she does -- but I AM NOT FOOLED

dyk I am against underwear.

dyk except under dresses or skirts

dyk but if I can wear thick dark tights -- that's better

dyk Abi has been wearing panties more -- we encourage full coverage -- but have provided her with alternatives b/c well, I can sympathize

dyk I am helping Abi do her make up work from today

dyk I forgot to get the doc's note from UTMB oh well

dyk one unexcused absence isn't a big deal

dyk she's really focused right now, doing very nice work

dyk she ate a huge breakfast, then a snack, she's had all her medicine, and it's very quiet and cool and dimly lit in the house

dyk she's in her element

dyk Ellie is napping and will be PISSED in 40 minutes when I get her up to go get Dek off the bus, then we go get his ADHD prescription and then Abi has OT, and while she's at OT we're going to our weekly park playdate and then home by 4:15 or so -- and THEN Ellie can finish her nap haha

dyk and in other news..... we may be a self employed family by the start of the new year....

dyk I was watching Sean work last night -- on a job that pays him what he would make in 3 FULL DAYS at his current "job" and he could have been done but he didn't have enough daylight which means he'll finish tonight and so the job waiting behind it can't even be brought over

dyk and I was thinking -- it's all my fault -- I don't have enough faith and I have too many control issues to turn him loose and let him do what he wants to do and what he's good at -- and start his side business

dyk :-/

dyk meanwhile, as I'm thinking in the car that this is all my fault, I should have turned him loose months ago to build his side business and worked out the rest of the details along the way...

dyk my Jen-friend calls and her husband is wanting to make some investments -- he pulled a large chunk from stocks and wants to invest more personally -- he's looking into paying cash for a rental property but also wanted to do a small investment that has a quicker, more "fun" turnover rate

dyk she asks me would Sean be interested in "going into business" to flip some cars -- use "seed money" from her husband for the purchase (about $1,000) and then we invest a bit into parts, Sean does labor pulling an hourly rate (from the profit when sold) then he gets a percentage return and we also pocket a profit

dyk and roll the $1,000 from the sale to a next vehicle

dyk we can legally flip 6 cars without paying taxes or having a used car salesman license

dyk if planned carefully and worked out right, we could essentially give Jen-friend's hubby a 25% return MONTHLY on that initial $1,000 (or 50% every two months as that's the rate of turnover to remain a legal non-DBA deal)

dyk buy a car at $1,000, parts under $500 then sell for $3,000 (typical) profit is $1500 -- $500 to friend's hubby is 50% return in 2 months

dky in 4 months he's doubled his money and we've also pocketed $2,000 in labor and return on our $500 in parts --

dyk in the past 6 months that I've spent feeling as if God wanted me to step back from leadership and take a back seat, serving instead, rather than leading, so I turned ove rmy ladies group, haven't signed up for school committees...

dyk as it turns out -- I'm an idiot. And I think the real calling was to stop trying to lead/control the family and let Sean do what he feels called to do!
