dyk, they had subs there: the bread was 6+ inches high, 6 inches across, and the veggie sub was a slice of lettuce, a pickle, a tomato slice, and an inch of mayo
dyk, no thanks

Dyk and I love, LOVE the fabric choices!
dyk and thank you -- I am happy with the fabric too
dyk I wrote the first 12 pages of Pinkabi Rose Sheds Her Skin
dyk I am pleased with that, too. There is one line I need to rewrite b/c it's awkward -- then I'll post the pages.
PInkabi Rose Sheds Her Skin the first 14 pages (half the book)
Pinkabi Rose was a little garden snake.
She lived among the beautiful wildflowers that grew by the edge of the pond in Sweet Meadow.
Every day while Pinkabi slithered around the wildflowers of the meadow, past the rocks on the shore and into the shallow waters of the pond, she thought about what it would be like to shed her skin and grow up.
The more she slithered, the more she thought, and the more nervous she became because she had never shed her skin before.
One day Pinkabi slithered down the bank to the pond and she bumped into her friend, Blush.
“What’s wrong Pinkabi?” Blush asked. “You look upset.”
Pinkabi sighed. “I am going to shed my skin soon and I’m nervous.”
Blush smiled at Pinkabi. “New things are scary. Just remember that you are perfectly made and this is part of who you are. It is your next step in growing up.”
Pinkabi wasn’t convinced. “Were you scared when you shed your skin?” she asked Blush.
Blush nodded. “I was. But I believe in God and He is always with us.”
Pinkabi slithered on thinking about trusting and God always being with her until she ran into her friend, Magenta, who was napping on a rock.
“Hi Magenta,” Pinkabi said, curling up beside her.
“What’s wrong, Pinkabi?”
Pinkabi told Magenta about shedding her skin.
Magenta nudged Pinkabi with her nose. “Don’t be scared, Pinkabi,” she said. “A spirit of fear never helped anyone get anything done!”
Pinkabi only half smiled.
Magenta started to slither away. She looked back at Pinkabi and shouted, “It’s an adventure. It might be fun!”
Pinkabi still wasn’t convinced.
Pinkabi sat alone for a long time before her friend Crimson slithered by.
“Crimson,” Pinkabi said, “Do you think shedding my skin will be fun since that’s what I’m made to do?”
Crimson stopped slithering. “I do!” she said, excited.
Pinkabi wrinkled her nose.
Crimson laughed. “You should think of all the fun and new things you will get to do when your skin is shed and you grow! Thinking positive will help you overcome your fear and then you won’t be scared anymore.”
Pinkabi unwrinkled her nose and managed a little smile. But she still wasn’t sure growing up would be fun.
Pinkabi was munching on crickets when her friend Coral came over to share.
“I heard you are going to shed your skin,” Coral said, “Do you know how you are going to do it yet?”
Pinkabi stopped munching to look at Coral. “Um, no, I don’t.”
Coral crunched on a cricket. “It’s always good to have a plan. Set a goal and keep that goal in mind to help you stay on track. That’s how I shed my skin.”
Pinkabi’s eyes widened. “You shed your skin?” she asked.
Coral smiled wide before she slithered away. “Yep! Just last week.”
Pinkabi looked at Coral’s shiny new skin. It was very pretty.
Pinkabi couldn’t believe she hadn’t noticed Coral’s new skin. She told her friend Berry all about it.
“Berry,” Pinkabi said. “All our friends have good ideas about trusting how I was made, and thinking positive… and even about making a plan for shedding my skin. But the only thing I am positive about is that I don’t know what my plan should be!”
Berry giggled. “Pinkabi, making a plan is easy! Just watch your friends and see how they do it. It’s a really good idea to pay attention to all the snakes around you,” Berry told her. “Seeing them do things, like shedding their skins, can help you when it’s your turn!”
Pinkabi knew Berry was right and she slithered down the pond path in search of more friends to watch.
