dyk since we can't get into the old October thread... I thought I'd try starting a new one?

dyk quick reply doesn't seem to work

dyk I am exhausted -- we had group at our garage sale location
dyk OMG so much stuff.
dyk and of course just as I got this all set up, the kids got home from school
dyk and i've got to get Abi going on homework since she has dance tonight!
dyk luckily, both kids just have 4 words on their lists that they didn't already know (spelling)
dyk I snagged some great stuff from the garage sale
dyk that's the best part of doing these sales is the "preshopping" haha
dyk Abi did her homework in about 5 minutes
dyk the rest of her spelling, and her daily math
dyk that kid can borrow across the middle zero like a champ
dyk and I think Deklan is dyslexic and am having trouble helping him space and size his language sentences.
dyk he's struggling with a few of his words too - -the shorter ones like "of" and "an"
dyk and at the garage sale we each (member of ladies group) found a need -- a specific family or person -- and we shopped the sale
dyk I am shopping for a family who lost most everything, I am doing clothing for the mom, dad, and 4 daughters whew!!!
dyk luckily, my sister is paying for shipping as this is a family she knows in austin
dyk I snagged like 8 barbies with clothes for Abigail
dyk and some lego kits (for robots!!!) and Kinex lego robotronic sets for Deklan
dyk they are in HEAVEN
dyk meanwhile, I find it curious with our garage sale that we don't have very many "large" items, like carseats, baby stuff, (other than a stroller) and furniture
dyk I am not sure what that'll mean for proceeds but it always is more than we expect to make!
dyk on the training track --- I haven't run in a week, too stinking hot
dyk but the temps are cooling next week and I am going to do a couple 4-5 mile runs
dyk I am down about 20 lbs --- which is now noticable to the general public and my bras are all too big. Oy.
dyk and my car is packed with coats and backpacks
dyk we have several programs in our county -- one is a once a year event called Dream Coats 4 Kids
dyk the other is weekly -- the Backpack program for homeless and low income children they get a backpack each Friday to take home and it has food for the weekend and they bring it back Monday
dyk I have almost 30 backpacks in my car and 20 more being dropped off in the next few days to donate to the program
