dyk good to know Jamie -- I bet the vacation days are "accrued" and they determined he hadn't accrued all 3 so they prob only paid him a portion and never said anything to him

dyk I am so done with their bullsht

dyk my mom is checking into a job as a part time pre-school teacher at the church she works at -- if Ellie's childcare there would be paid, I will consider it

dyk get all the facts and then we can figure out what your arguments are
dyk vacation days are likely accrued over time; is there a written policy? Are they listed on the pay stub?

dyk Sean has applied to 3 companies -- locally, (within 30 minutes) and larger companies with benefits and pretty decent hours

dyk if I worked at the preschool, Ellie would have to attend and I'd have to pay for her to go there

dyk there are several parents there working so that their child can attend -- um, just stay home.

dyk yeah.. Texas... at will..... we can do whatever we want to our employees state.... lol

dyk I told Sean to ask. He's going to ask just so we know what's up.

dyk and I hope to be out of there within a week. As in this time next week -- starting a new job. ANYTHING -- something.

dyk my dad REALLY wants to hire Sean as a breaker technician (electrical, not dance, haha) but he is pretty sure they can't pay him to start what we'd need to survive

dyk, we accrue vacation time on a monthly basis, however you can use up to your entitled amount at any point in the year

dyk, for example - I could use all of my weeks by June and still get paid, but if I were to quit I would have to "pay back" any vacation time over my accrued amount

dyk, I hope that's not the case for Sean if he leaves before the end of the year
