dyk got the scoop

dyk 3 days at regular pay, 2 days at new reduced pay, and then they deducted the first of three payments for the $300 part

dyk and Sean apparently, by default during conversation agreed to the payment schedule b/c he said well I can't pay it all at once and they said well we're thinking we will spread it out via payroll deduction over a couple weeks

dyk I told Sean there isn't anything to talk about -- he just need to get out of there and we've got about a week before we are in serious financial trouble -- I can't live on $750 less over the next 3 weeks than what we WOULD have been making before this happened

dyk it's time to start advertising

dyk we were letting Sean's side work be word of mouth out of respect for his employer "frowning" upon side work that would be considered "competition"

dyk but I know you can imagine what I think of that now.

dyk I'll be interested in the explanation! Obviously, your solution -- get out ASAP -- is the correct one.
would Sean even want to do the electrical work?

dyk a part broke when he put on a new one

dyk and the company's policy is that they absorb the cost of anything that breaks as a result of the repair (we're talking 15 yo cars with all old parts, rust holding things together, etc) or any ADDITIONAL problems

dyk and they have decided in this incident, Sean was at fault and that HE needs to absorb the cost of it

dyk I vented to a friend (a non Jen-friend -- did you know I have those?) for almost an hour

dyk they have a situation with the mortgage company that is comparable to ours

dyk and then she laughed at me for the fact that I am most likely going to cry in public tonight at the contest when my friend reads her letter

dyk I have so many people to nominate for next year....
