Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem

The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;

The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;

The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;

From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–

By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk that made me laugh

dyk I think he is over the suit now

dyk but I have a feeling there is some knee surgery in his future from all this; the swelling is not going down.

dyk the grainy texture is a rice flour

dyk the potato flour and potato starch isn't too bad but.... eh, it's still not the same as doughy fluffly wheat bread

DYK my beloved bread machine just committed suicide?
DYK it jumped of the counter (and scared the life out of me -- I was in the basement)?
DYK I use it maybe 1-2 times a month....mostly for making dough that I turn into things (pizza, bread, rolls, cinnamon rolls for the kids)?
DYK it still ran great...even though I've had it 20 years?
